3/23/2023 0 Comments Phred ernesto v dockstar![]() *It's a bit crunchy because I recorded it with my laptop's mic. One last thing: don't make fun of me for the stuff on the YouTube account, I did a lot of my maturing after I stopped using it, so not a lot there. If someone has one of his Jerry guitars, I wanna hear it!įor some reason, YT won't let me write a description for the video with the pedal chain, will give info on it if anyone wants it. Sorry that I kept screwing up and such, it was about 19 degrees outside and I had just gotten home, so my hands were a bit numb (still are). Here is what it sounds like with my effects chain (found in vid description). (Inb4 criticism for having a solid state Line 6 (even though I'm gonna buy a nice Fender Deluxe Reverb when I have enough $$$)) The video is my amp's face because I'm too embarrassed/paranoid to show my face to the camera. Here is what it sounds like on a completely clean* channel, during this I toggle through the pickups and the series/parallel switches (which is which is in the YouTube video description). ![]() Also in that photo set is the pedals I was playing though, which is for those who watch the video I'm about to post. Ernesto VH3 Quilted Maple Blonde The PHRED instruments Ernesto VH3 guitar features a dual humbucker setup, with discrete split coil switches and a 3-way pickup toggle for 8 different tone combinations Our Ernesto VH3 Quilted Maple Blonde is professionally setup with low action and D'Addario 10-46 strings, and the frets are leveled. Most people like the way it looks ("That is the most chill guitar I have ever seen." -My band's drummer upon seeing it). When plugged in, it gives a very nice sound which was as damn close as I've gotten to the tone I'm looking for (now if only I could find an amp that did the same).Īs for what it looks like, here are some pictures of it right outside the box (I was using a cell phone for those pictures, forgive the quality), and here (slightly better cell phone camera, sorry that it's not that good quality) is what it looks like now (give or take 5 minutes). I personally like the way the guitar sounds a lot. The guitar is semi-hollow, has a pair of humbucker pickups, a volume and tone knob, three-way-selector switch, and some series/parallel switches to toggle the phase in the pickups (in the videos later in the post I play with em a bit). I got one his Trey guitars, the TA-02, which he calls the Ernesto now. So, as some of you know, there's a guy who runs Phred Instruments, a little guitar brand which makes derivatives of Jerry/Doug's and Trey/Paul's guitars (I wouldn't really call them knock-offs, but I'll leave this to the comments if someone wants to talk about it).
